1. What is Basic Respect all about?
We’re a Melbourne-born basics brand focused on timeless, high-quality essentials. Our mission is to create everyday pieces that feel great, fit perfectly, and last for years, not just seasons.
2. What materials do you use?
Our tanks and other core products are made using premium organic cotton, chosen for its softness, durability, and minimal environmental impact. Quality starts with fabric, and we don’t cut corners.
3. Where are your clothes made?
All our products are made in ethical factories, which we’ve visited in person to ensure responsible practices, fair working conditions, and high production standards. We also personally source our materials to ensure the best quality from the very start of the production process.
4. Do you ship internationally?
Yes! While we’re proudly based in Australia, we offer international shipping so you can wear Basic Respect wherever you are in the world.
5. What’s your return policy?
Exchanges, Store Credit & Refunds
We offer exchanges on our items and are always happy to help find the right fit.
If an item doesn’t fit as expected, you may exchange it for a different size of the same product or opt for store credit of equal value. We’ve found this to be the fairest and simplest option for both our customers and our small team.
As a growing brand, we don’t offer refunds for change of mind as standard. However, we understand that every situation is different. In cases where an exchange or store credit isn’t suitable, or where a customer has been genuinely inconvenienced that we’re happy to review the situation and work toward a fair outcome. Refunds may be approved in these circumstances at the brand’s discernment.
All items must be returned unworn, unwashed, and in original condition. Original shipping costs are non-refundable, and return shipping is the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty.

6. How do your sizes run?
